Vertical machining center (VMC) is a high accuracy CNC machine which the spindle axis is perpendicular to the worktable.

تُستخدم آلات VMC على نطاق واسع في تشغيل المعادن (الطحن، الحفر، التثقيب، التثقيب وما إلى ذلك)، وتأتي هذه الآلات دائمًا مع مخزن الأدوات ونظام تغيير الأدوات التلقائي.

How many types for vertical machining center(VMC)?

1.According to the guideway :

• Hard guideway vertical machining center:

The guide rail is a sliding guide rail, which is high rigidity and large loading. It is suitable for heavy cutting (such as rough machining of castings and machining of high-strength metals) ,and more cost-effective.

• Linear guideway vertical machining center:

The guide rail is linear guide rail,which with high moving accuracy,fast speed,small wear,suitable for percision machining(eg:Parts fine finishing,mold cavity machining),more higher efficiency.

2.According to the worktabke size and travle:

• Small vertical machining center:

Worktable size ≤500x400mm(eg:X/Y/Z travel 500x400x300mm),suitable for small lots percision parts(eg:Electronic components, small mechanical parts).

• Medium vertcial machiningc enter:

Worktable size:600x500mm-1000x800mm(Eg:X/Y/Z travel 800x500x450mm),high versatility,suitable for most mechanical parts and mold machining.

• Large vertical machining center:

Worktable size≥1200x1000mm(eg:X/Y/Z axis travel 1200x1000x600mm),used for large parts(eg:machine bed,Construction machinery parts)machining,but need with strong spindly power.

3.According to the spindle number and function:

• Single spindle vertical machining center:

This is the regular type,with simple structure and competitive price.Which suitable for most of single step machining and multi steps continue machining.

• Double spindle vertical machining center:

VMC with two Independent spindle,they can machining the same part or machining the difference steps for one part at same time.It can save the time and Improve production efficiency.Especially for the production of car spare parts.

• Economy type vertical machining center:

With Entry-level CNC controller system:Just like GSK980,Siemens 808,Fanuc 0i mate,with simple function.Suitable for easy spare part machining,with lower cost.

• Precision type vertical machining center:

With High-end CNC controller system.like Fanuc 0i MF,Siemens one,support 5 axis linkage,high speed high precision machining,suitable for complex molds and high-precision component machining.

• Gantry type CNC vertical machining center:

with gantry frame structure, it has stronger rigidity and is suitable for processing ultra-large and ultra-heavy workpieces (such as large molds and machine tool bases).

How to choose the suitable vertical machining center ?

1.Clearly the machining requirements

• Machining matericals:

Machining steel parts requires a high-rigidity spindle and high power, while machining aluminum parts emphasizes high-speed cutting performance.

• Workpiece size:

Accoriding to the largest workpiece size,to confirm the machine X/Y/Z axis travel and worktable size.For example,the max.workpiece size is 500x400x400mm,the machine X/Y/Z axis travel must bigger than 500x400x400mm.

• Accuracy requirements:

Normal workpiece choose the positioning accuracy within±0.005mm,percision workpiece need choose the machine positioning accuracy under ±0.003mm,also support the closed loop control.

2.Control the Core configuration:
